Bear Island Kingdome is a premier glamping dome site that grew from a passion and appreciation of needing to disconnect and be at true peace. We are situated on eleven beautiful acres of forested private land in Bear Island, New Brunswick adjacent to the majestic and historical Saint John River. Each dome and every visit here provides a unique one of a kind experience be it your first swim in the fresh water lake, bird watching, seeing a deer feeding, paddle boarding, fishing a world class lake, sailing, cleaning the sand from the fresh water beach, watching magnificent sunsets over the water, skiing the local hill, your best round of golf at a Championship Golf course, a TreeGO adventure, whatever the experience we encourage and invite you to find it here with us at Bear Island Kingdome.
Drew
Martine brings a variety of life experience and managerial ability to the Bear Island Kingdome project. Growing up in Tracadie, New Brunswick, she started working at a young age dealing with clients and providing customer service at a local fitness facility. She later upgraded that job to go work in a better paying position within the tourism and hospitality sector later moving onto hospitality in aviation. Martine also worked as a sales representative with Xerox (Saint John), and with the finance and loans department at Royal Bank of Canada call centre (Moncton) eventually moving up to the pensions department at RBC (Mississauga). Once her children were older, she was finally able to pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a police officer. For the last twelve years she has been employed as a Constable in the GRC-RCMP. In her time with the GRC-RCMP she has served positions in both Maple Ridge, BC and Moncton, NB. Being directly involved in the June 4 shootings in Moncton, Martine has decided to prepare for a change in her professional life and put aside the rigours of civic duty. Together, she, her husband, and their 7 children are all very excited about Bear Island Kingdome and the next chapter in her career.
Maya is a 5-year-old cockerpoo who loves sleeping and would rather cuddle you to death then go outside for a walk. Daisy is our little miracle. She is a 3-year-old cockerpoo who wasn’t supposed to survive past her first year but beat the odds with a 50/50 at a heart surgery when she was only 5 months old. She is our little firecracker and contrary to Maya, she loves going on walks, playing with her toys and will go on any adventure with you. We like to think it’s because she is grateful to be alive and wants to take advantage of the years she’s got left, which should be a lesson to us all.
